About Setas de Sevilla

Setas de Sevilla, officially known as Metropol Parasol, is a vast timber canopy spread over Plaza de la Encarnación in Seville's old town. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer H. and fully opened in 2011, it is billed as the largest wooden structure in the world.

Beneath the canopy, the monument combines a traditional food market, a raised public square, the Antiquarium's Roman ruins and, on the roof, walkways with 360º views across the city.

Good to Know Before Visiting Setas de Sevilla

Aurora lights up the canopy from sunset, around 6 PM in winter and 9 PM in summer, so a visit at dusk lets you see the city by day and by night.

Book tickets online in advance, especially for sunset slots, weekends and holidays.

The route to the walkways starts on Level -1, next to the Antiquarium entrance, where lifts take you up to the roof.

Opening time is 9:30 AM every day, and last entry is 30 minutes before closing.

Setas de Sevilla opens daily at 9:30 AM. It closes at 1:00 AM on the summer schedule and at midnight on the winter schedule, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.

Most visits take 60 to 90 minutes. The Antiquarium on Level -1 follows its own, shorter schedule.
