Sevilla Aquarium takes you on a journey through water, from the Guadalquivir River to the open ocean. Themed around Magellan’s voyage around the world, the route leads through recreated habitats where you can come face to face with hundreds of aquatic species.

About Sevilla Aquarium

Sevilla Aquarium sits on the Muelle de las Delicias, beside the Guadalquivir River and a short walk from Parque de María Luisa. It is home to around 7,000 animals from roughly 400 aquatic species, displayed along a single route over two floors.

Each zone recreates a stage of Magellan’s journey around the world, including the Guadalquivir, the Atlantic, the tropical rainforest, the African savanna, the Indo-Pacific and the Amazonian wetlands.

The centrepiece is the Oceanarium, a nine-metre-deep tank holding around two million litres of water. It is the deepest shark tank in the Iberian Peninsula and home to sand tiger sharks and loggerhead turtles.

Opening Hours at Sevilla Aquarium

Sevilla Aquarium opens seven days a week from 10:00 am, with an extra hour in the evening during summer.

September to June: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekdays, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm at weekends
July and August: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm on weekdays, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm at weekends

Last entry is one hour before closing.
Best Times To Visit Weekday mornings are usually the calmest time to explore. Arriving soon after opening gives you a clearer view of the most popular tanks before the day gets busier.

The entire route is step-free, with ramps and lifts linking both floors and adapted toilets on each level. Seating areas are spread along the way so you can take a break when needed.

A limited number of manual wheelchairs and noise-cancelling headphones can be borrowed at the ticket desk, subject to availability.
